Teriyaki Sauce

kaufmann-2-microKaufmann 2 recipe for Teriyaki Sauce. Great for your next Asian inspired family meal.

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup coconut aminos
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tsp grated ginger
4-5 large cloves garlic minced

 

Roux:

1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp arrowroot or tapioca flour

 

Directions:

In a small sauce pan, bring coconut aminos, water, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and garlic to a low simmer. Once simmering, add honey and mix well. In a small bowl add water and arrowroot together until combined. Remove teriyaki sauce from heat, and whisk in arrowroot slowly until desired thickness. Leftover sauce should be stored in an airtight container with a lid in the refrigerator.
