With the right mix of yogurt, herbs, and spices, this will be the chicken recipe your family will want again and again. Zesty, yet creamy, you’ll be surprised when you try this Kaufmann favorite.
3 lb. chicken (cut up) or you favorite chicken pieces
2 cups plain yogurt
½ cup water
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black or white pepper
¼ cup fresh thyme
8 garlic cloves (smashed)
Mix all ingredients (except chicken) together and pour over chicken in a dish and cover or put in gallon bag and marinate for 4 hours or overnight.
Heat grill to high.
Pat chicken dry and grill skin side down for 10 minutes over direct heat. Turn chicken over and continue to cook over indirect heat until done (20 to 25 minutes).
Let rest for 10 minutes and serve.
