Dennis Hooper, MD, PhD a pathologist, from North Texas, joins us today on the KTC podcast. He earned a Masters and PhD degree in Microbiology before earning his MD degree. He shares some interesting information about pathology reports and biopsy samples, or as Dr. Hooper would call them “blocks”.
He is the medical director of Real Time Lab in Richardson, Texas, a lab that specializes in fungus and mycotoxin testing. Mycotoxins are harmful fungal poisons that are emitted from a variety of fungi species like Candida or Aspergillus.
He expounds on how we’ve known that our food supply is commonly contaminated, with these potentially dangerous mycotoxins, yet the medical community isn’t proactively screening for them.
Dr. Dennis Hooper explains the process of getting these tests done, and what you need to know about getting these tests done on your blood or tissues. Dr. Hooper also addresses the important question “Is my medical insurance going to cover this type of test?”.
