Are Antibiotics Causing Your Weight Gain?

According to The American Cancer Society, two-thirds of Americans are either obese or overweight and we know that weight problems can increase the risk for other diseases like diabetes and cancer. They are the first to admit that they have no idea how why so many have weight problems or their associated illnesses, but studies outside of their areas of expertise seem to show us the way.

This new study might help put some of the pieces of the obesity puzzle together because it tells us that something inside of an obese persons body is causing DNA damage to an “obesity gene.” Fungus can do that, but how are so many being exposed to DNA mutating fungus? Both antibiotics and alcohol cause weight increases. Both are fungal poisons, called “mycotoxins.” Mycotoxins cause DNA damage.

At the root of serious weight problems sometimes lie rounds and rounds and rounds of antibiotics, known to increase the risk of both obesity and serious diseases like cancer. Couple that to the regular consumption of alcohol and perhaps a picture is beginning to develop on why 200,000,000 Americans have weight problems and disease is rampant in America. Many people have educated themselves and have become proactive in their own health issues, while others hope that the next doctor they see will have that magic pill to cure them. It can be a very vicious cycle.
