Recently, the Journal of Advanced Research ran a headline (1) that must surely get the minds of our brightest cancer researchers thinking. You know my belief that fungi can mimic or cause cancer. Yet the cancer community continues to downplay such an association. As it turns out, however, as this article points out:
“Nearly all classes of antifungal drugs have shown anticancer activity in preclinical studies. However, only a few of these drugs, especially those used in a systemic manner, are approved for the treatment of patients with cancer or are currently undergoing clinical trials including patients with cancer.”
Does this quote, just not shout TREAT EVERY CANCER THAT WALKS INTO YOUR CLINIC WITH ANTIFUNGAL DRUGS?
If not, why not? Another recent cancer article discovered fungus within 35 different types of cancer (2) . Yet for reasons I will never understand, oncologists are allowing over 10,000,000 global cancer deaths annually without ever even thinking “fungus!” But now you know this and can tell your physician that you want to rule out fungus if you have cancer. It is that important!
