Fungal Infection Mimicking Pulmonary Malignancy


In late 2013, the medical journal, LUNG published that lung fungus is being confused with lung cancer.

In a retrospective study, 27 CT scans proved that the misdiagnoses were made. The 27 patients presented with suspicion of thoracic malignancy and were ultimately diagnosed with fungal disease.
