Fried Apples

Kaufmann OneThese Fried Apples can be used as a side dish instead of sugar-free applesauce, added to yogurt for breakfast, or as a dessert with toasted nuts and whipped cream on top.

Ingredients:

4 to 5 green apples
ground cinnamon (to taste)
Stevia or Xylitol (to taste)
1 to 2 Tbsp coconut oil

Directions:
Core apples and cut into slices. The thicker the slice, the longer it will take to cook.

Heat a skillet to medium heat and add the coconut oil. When the oil is melted and the pan is coated with the oil, toss in the apples and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring often. You want the apples to be softer, but not mushy.

Add the desired amount of cinnamon and sweetener, stirring until the apples are thoroughly coated.

Remove from heat and serve.
