msmith I've been making my way through George Orwell's dystopian novel 1984 for the past couple days. I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic, end-of-the-world, government take over books (or movies for that matter), so I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Orwell has been called prophetic; there are evident parallels in the way society has moved since Orwell predicted tele-screens and government surveillance of citizens.

The FDA's Nebulous Definition of Risks

Michael Smith Blog - Know The Cause Hardly a week goes by without a pharmaceutical drug being implicated in a widespread horrendous and unintended side effect. In many cases, pharmaceutical drugs are responsible for death, even when taken exactly as the doctors prescribe them. Such events certainly call into question the efficacy, tactics and scrutiny of the supposed watch-dog organization known as the FDA.
