The Cleanser


The “me” of yesteryear lived by this motto: slightly over my ability to commit lays my ability to procrastinate.


If it weren’t for a mother that made me do it and a wife who asks me (over and over again) to do it, I’m not certain that I’d ever get anything defined as a chore done.


"Clean Eating" Phase 1 Style

“Clean Eating” has become a common buzz phrase that can mean a number of different things. Originally coined by Tosca Reno, “clean eating” referred to eating foods that are mostly unprocessed, whole and usually low in fat, with the primary goal being weight loss, and presumably, better health. ddunham


Clean Salad, Phase 1 Style


Mixed salad greens and herbs (baby lettuces, spinach, arugula, parsley, basil etc., whatever you like) about 2 cups

1/4 cup red bell pepper, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup sweet red onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup cucumber, sliced 

a handful of cherry tomatoes

1/4 to 1/2 of a medium avocado

8-10 olives, black or green


Places to Look For Mold

Last summer, my parents realized that their broken upstairs air conditioner was actually the result of a busted air duct in the attic; all the cold air that the functioning air conditioner was putting out was being used to cool the attic, leaving the upstairs uncomfortably warm. The two things I enjoy most in working with Doug are doing the TV show and going on the road to do seminars.
