DAY THREE OF SIX

 Doug Kaufmann's Official Blog -knowthecause.com

Dr. Ablin feels that men were exploited by the medical community that used fear of prostate cancer to sell their wares, inaccurate as they were. Would his knowledge of the PSA test background frighten urology experts off for fear of marketing such a useless test? Would his peers reprimand him?

Doug Kaufmann:
When you voiced your objections to using the PSA test as a prostate cancer-screening test, did it negatively impact your career, or were you reprimanded by anyone?

Dr. Richard Ablin:
For more than 3 decades I publicly denounced PSA screening. In journal articles, in the lay press and in public forums and debates I fought to expose the profit-driven PSA industry. Although, I believe my career was never negatively impacted, powerful men in the ivory towers of medicine have used their bully pulpit to try to drown me out. Yes, they have had a much louder megaphone than me. That’s why this book is so important and why I dedicated it to the countless millions of men and their families who have suffered needlessly because of the misuse of the PSA test. One of FDA’s own expert advisors warned the Agency of the impending disaster of routine PSA screening. He said, “Like Pontius Pilate, you can’t wipe the guilt off your hands.” One of my goals in this book is to hold the people responsible for this health care disaster accountable.

The Germ That Causes Cancer

This book expounds upon the role of fungus in cancer.  Most physicians are unaware that common antibiotics may contribute to cancer while drugs that kill fungus often help cancer patients.  This is an important book that has been reduced to a much easier read for the layperson.  It includes a chemotherapy nurses notes, the confessions of a chemotherapy drug salesman and a physicians account of what he would do if he were diagnosed with cancer.  Includes diets.
